These terms govern your use of Sentinel, a due-diligence and background-research software product operated by Perpetual Core ("we", "us"). By creating an account or running a Quick Vet, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What Sentinel is
Sentinel is software. It runs an AI agent over public records and authorized data sources to produce due-diligence reports about subjects you identify. Reports are generated automatically. We do not provide legal advice, financial advice, regulated investigatory services, or human analyst review unless explicitly contracted.
Outputs are best-effort. We label every substantive claim with an evidentiary tag (VERIFIED / REPORTED / INFERRED / UNCONFIRMED) and we do not knowingly fabricate sources. We do not guarantee that reports are exhaustive, error-free, or decision-ready. You are responsible for verifying anything material before acting on it.
2. Your account
You must provide a real email address. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account per person; do not share credentials. We may suspend accounts that show signs of abuse, automation, or attempts to circumvent quotas.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Your subscription auto-renews at the start of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime via the billing portal in Settings.
Each tier includes a monthly report quota that resets on the 1st of each calendar month. Unused reports do not roll over. Top-up packs and tier upgrades are available and apply immediately. Annual plans are prepaid and discounted ~20% off the monthly equivalent.
Refunds are issued on a case-by-case basis. We will refund the most recent billing cycle if you cancel within 7 days of renewal and have used fewer than 25% of your quota. After that, paid time is non-refundable but you retain access until the end of the billing period.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use Sentinel only for permitted purposes as defined in our Permitted Use Policy. In particular, you agree NOT to use Sentinel reports to make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, housing, or other consumer-protected matters unless you are operating as a registered Consumer Reporting Agency under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or a comparable jurisdictional regime.
You also agree not to:
- Investigate minors (anyone under 18) without lawful guardianship authority
- Use the service to harass, stalk, dox, or threaten any person
- Resell, white-label, or redistribute reports without a written agreement
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our prompts, models, or systems
- Submit material that violates law or third-party rights
We reserve the right to refuse any individual run, suspend an account, or terminate service for violations. Refusals are logged with a reason; suspended accounts will receive notice.
5. Your content; our content
You retain ownership of the subject information you submit and the reports we generate for you. You grant us a non-exclusive license to process this material as necessary to deliver the service, to maintain audit logs for compliance, and to improve our quality-assurance processes.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your subject queries or reports to train third-party AI models. We do retain anonymized aggregate metrics (volume, latency, cost) for operational purposes.
6. Third-party services
Sentinel uses Stripe (payments), Supabase (auth and data hosting), Anthropic (the underlying language model), and Resend (transactional email). By using Sentinel you accept these services' processing of your data as needed to deliver Sentinel's functionality. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Disclaimers and limits of liability
Sentinel is provided "as is." We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Reports may contain errors, omissions, or delays. You assume all risk in acting on them.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms. On termination, your access to the service ends; we retain report data per our retention schedule (see Privacy Policy).
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email and a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
10. Contact and governing law

Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of New York County, New York, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
